Over the years, he has honed his skills as a guitarist, vocalist, bandleader, arranger, composer, producer, and award-winning songwriter. One of Heywood's notable live performances was at the Dunstable Festival in the UK, where he performed his song "Ticket to Paradise". This performance showcased his ability to captivate the audience with his powerful vocals and intricate guitar work. Recording with Redgum's Hugh McDonald in his melbounre studio McDoanld, his collaborations with BBC Radio 1's John Peel's favorite Psychobilly band "The Pocket Gods" and his work with Heywood & Moore have been particularly well-received.

Brian is also an award-winning songwriter who has written songs for himself and other artists, as well as for live and video/film soundtracks. He has a distinctive style that blends elements of progressive, latin, blues and celtic rock, creating edgy and original music that has received critical acclaim from various media outlets. He is also an experienced producer and engineer who has worked on recordings in a variety of genres and styles.

Brian is currently based in Australia near Newcastle on the central coast, where he continues to perform live and compose music for different projects. He is a passionate and dedicated musician who always strives to deliver high-quality and engaging music to his audiences.
